We got a new kitten about a week and a half ago, and following the slow introduction she seemed to be hitting it off with our older kitten (about 10 months, we've had her for about a month). Though the kittens seem to be more or less getting along, our relationship with the older kitten is not the same. She used to run to the door to greet us when we came home and would basically follow us around all day. Now she pretty much stays to herself and will not purr when I pet her. We have been doing our absolute best to make the older cat feel loved and try and give her as much attention and play time as before. The new cats have only been integrated about 4 days so I am hoping against hope that she is still unsettled and will return to her old lovable ways because I can't bear the thought that our incredibly sweet and loving kitten doesn't want anything to do with us anymore...Can anyone offer advice or reassurance?

Tue, July 15, 2008 - 5:10 PMJust 4 days? Senior kittie will probably take 1-2 weeks to get over her snit.
