One of my kitties, Bijou, was just diagnosed with a severe heart murmer and Hypertrophic CardioMyopathy. She's now on 2 heart meds and baby aspirin plus metamusil and laxative to control constipation (the reason I broght her to the vet and how we found the heart disease). It seems to have come on really quickly - she lost 1lb over the past 3 months and just started having symptoms.
Has anyone had any experience with this kind of heart disease? The vet won't give any info on prognosis, probably because it varies by case and cat... I'm in a bit of shock. Any advice or experiences with this would be appreciated - thanks!!

Our Ernie cat was diagnosed with Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy last week. I am picking up his meds next week. He doesn't have any symptoms but we are really worried about him.
How is Bijou doing?
